Home: Welcome

Hi there!

I'm a editor, writer, and content strategist. I've recently been impacted by layoffs, and am on the hunt for a new role.

Most recently, I was a senior editor working for Pillar4 Media's Men's Journal partnership. In this role, I led our editorial operations, including setting the editorial calendar, managing multiple direct reports, guiding content strategy and priorities, and communicating with our partners.

Previous to this role, I worked as an editor, writer, and digital strategist with Hearst's Enthusiast Group. For eight years, I worked with Bicycling, Runner's World, and Popular Mechanics to create stories of all kinds, from short news items to in-depth gear reviews and long-lead features.

I worked as features editor for all three magazines, where I oversaw lineups, assigned and edited features, and handled unique special projects.

One of those special projects was the Runners Alliance—a multi-year program focused on making running safer for women. I spearheaded two print issues devoted to the problem, and created a monthly column that offers solutions. I also helped produce Runner's World's first documentary, NOT TODAY, which tells the stories of three women who experienced violence while running. And, I oversaw the creation of an ambassador program that champions increased diversity as one of the ways we can make the running community more inclusive and more safe.

In addition to my in-depth work on runner safety, I was able to cover tons of other really unique and interesting topics. I'm a member of the four-person team that assigned, edited, and published the 2021 Pulitzer Prize-winning feature story about Ahmaud Arbery's murder while running, Twelve Minutes and a Life.  I edited stories on the science of growing food underground for Popular Mechanics, how bike shops can better serve their customers for Bicycling, and why one runner hates shoe hype for Runner's World. A feature I edited called "How Cycling Works" was nominated for a National Magazine Award in the Leisure Interests category in 2018. I also edited the story "Her Fiancé’s Mountain Bike Crash Was a Tragedy. What She Did After Was a Miracle," which was included in Best American Sportswriting in 2020.
